Who we are
SDS Driving School, Kumbakonam ("SDS", "we") is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
What we collect
For the free LLR practice test: your mobile number (verified by a WhatsApp code), name, age, and your test answers and scores. With your consent, your approximate location (rounded to about 100 metres), or the town you choose. For enquiries: your name, mobile number, course of interest and message.
Why we use it
To let you sign in and practise, to show your results, to contact you about lessons you asked about, and to understand which towns our learners come from so we can improve our services. Location consent text: "We use your location to understand where our students come from and to improve our services."
Consent
Location is used only if you tick the consent box, and you can use the test without it. We store the consent wording version and the time you agreed. You may withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your data.
Who sees it
Only SDS staff on our admin list. Data is stored on Google Cloud in Mumbai, India. WhatsApp (Meta) delivers your sign-in code. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or two years after your last sign-in, whichever is earlier. Sign-in codes expire in 5 minutes and are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or erase your data, and you may raise a grievance. To erase: sign in to the LLR test and tap "Delete my data", or contact us by phone or WhatsApp. We act on erasure requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The practice test is meant for learners aged 14 and above. Learners under 18 should use it with a parent's or guardian's knowledge.
